Changing The Service Port: Dismantling

  1. Drive the car on to a lift and raise it.

  2. Open the bonnet.
  3. Detach the purge hose with the service port from the rubber hose on the EVAP purge valve.
  4. Detach the purge line from the securing clip.
  5. Separate the service port from the line by carefully cutting off the purge hose with a sharp knife, scalpel, or similar tool.
    NOTE: Cut the line so that the piece cut off is as short as possible.
