Procedure 1

Cause:  Play in universal joint mounting.

Cars concerned:-  37008608

Fit retaining screw, part no. 79 85 963

1. Open the boot lid.
2. Loosen the luggage compartment trim on the right-hand side and move it aside slightly.
3. Fit the retaining screw in one of the threaded holes of the universal joint.

4. Fit the luggage compartment trim. Close the boot lid.
5. Check that the noise is gone.
