Procedure 4

Symptom:  Creaking noise

Cause :  Insufficient junction plate welds.

1. Remove the scuff plate.
2. Remove the carpet.
3. Unplug the wiring harness.
4. Check that the junction plate welds are whole. If necessary, perform the following procedure:

5. Grind the surfaces requiring welding.
6. Weld the edge where the junction plate is loose.
7. Grind the welds.
8. Apply primer to all ground surfaces.
9. Apply anti-corrosion agent after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
10. Connect the wiring harness.
11. Fit the carpet.
12. Fit the scuff plate.
