Diagnostic procedure

Start fault diagnosis by checking the oil level (MIN - MAX) and continue by checking if the soft top mechanism functions normally by operating the soft top by hand.

• Check that the emergency operation valve is securely closed.
• Check that the pump is active by listening to the pump when the soft top is activated.

  If the pump is not active, check that the test values for microswitch/switches are reasonable. Check MAXI-fuse 5, and relays 579, 579a and 579b and ensure power supply to the pump motor.

  The overheating protection by the pump motor electric connection may have been activated. In such a case, wait until it is reset.

• Check that the soft top can be moved smoothly without resistance, that the hydraulic cylinders move and that they are securely mounted.

Soft top can be operated in short movements and each sequence must be started with the switches in a position that corresponds to the movement pattern.

The problem is most likely in the switch for tonneau cover up or in one of the microswitches for the tonneau cover lock.
