Diagnostic procedure

There is communication on the VR-bus as long as there is +54 current. This DTC is generated if response is missing from the valve in question.

The cause of the problem may be power supply, ground or bus connection missing to the valve.

As an alternative, try moving the connector to another valve next to the valve in question. If that valve is also missing, the problem is in the wiring harness. Do not activate the soft top  .
