Antenna, fixed (Viggen): General

The position of the antenna on the Viggen 3D/5D differs from that of other 9-3 models. Due to the Viggen's spoiler it is not possible to fit the antenna in the normal position for 9-3 models. The antenna is therefore located on the rear of the roof.

The antenna rod can be easily removed by hand by twisting the lower part of the antenna rod anticlockwise. The antenna rod is refitted by threading it in to the base and twisting it clockwise.

The antenna rod is physically shortened. It is one quarter of the length of FM waves and is designed for AM and FM reception, as well as GSM mobile telephony.
