To remove

  1. Remove the antenna, see ANTENNA, ELECTRIC .
  2. Undo the screws securing the antenna tube and pull out the tube.

  4. Connect the motor to a 12V battery and wait until the motor has stopped with the antenna extended.

    Then, carefully pull out the antenna tube rack from the motor.

  6. Push the new rack into the motor with the teeth facing the motor.

    Apply a little grease to the rack.

  7. Reconnect the motor to the battery at the same time as the rack is carefully pushed in.
    NOTE: Connect the positive supply to the battery intermittently to make it easier to insert the rack.

  9. Disconnect the battery when the whole rack has been inserted.
  10. Fit the antenna tube.

    Make sure the tube is turned the right way.
