SID 1 and 2 are equipped with a service indicator which shows the message "TIME FOR SERVICE" on the SID unit when it is time to service the car. The time for this is controlled by the distance counter which shows how far the car has travelled since the last service, and the day counter which calculates the number of days since the last service.

The service interval is programmable and is programmed during production according to market requirements. If necessary, the interval can be changed using the diagnostic tool.
