The sensor that measures the light intensity in the car is integrated in the SID unit. The measurement range is 0--1200 lux.

The SID unit uses the value to calculate the appropriate display lighting. The value is output as bus information "INTERIOR LIGHT INTENSITY" in lux. See also DISPLAY LIGHTING LEVEL  .
