On cars fitted with the Saab Audio System, the radio, tape and CD display can be shown on the SID unit.

When the radio, cassette player or CD player is turned on, the display automatically appears on the SID unit.

If a CHECK function becomes active, the audio information disappears from the display and the CHECK function is shown instead at the same time as an acoustic signal is heard.

Communication between the SID unit and the audio system takes place via the bus.
