Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Clockspring is located under steering wheel. Remove driver-side air bag module. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE .
- Ensure wheels are in straight-ahead position. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL . Remove 3 screws on upper and lower steering column covers. Remove 2 clockspring retaining screws. Disconnect electrical connectors and lift out clockspring.
