DTC B1725: Turbo Pressure Signal Fault

  1. If CHECK ENGINE light is on, problem is with engine management system. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If CHECK ENGINE light is not on, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Main Instrument Unit (MIU) 22-pin connector on rear of instrument cluster. See Figure . Connect test light between battery voltage and MIU 22-pin connector terminal No. 6 (Black wire). If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Black wire between MIU 22-pin connector terminal No. 6 and Trionic module. Trionic module is located under right side of instrument panel.
  3. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between MIU 22-pin connector terminal No. 14 (Pink wire) and ground. If 1.8 volts are present, go to step  6 . If 1.8 volts are not present, go to next step.
  4. Check continuity of Pink wire between MIU 22-pin connector terminal No. 14 and Trionic module terminal No. 20. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
  5. Use Tech 1 scan tool to clear all DTCs. Perform a test drive at various engine loads and RPMs for 5 minutes. If DTCs do not reoccur, system is okay. If DTCs reoccur, replace Trionic module. See TRIONIC MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  6. Use scan tool to clear all DTCs. Perform a functional test to determine whether DTC reoccurs. If DTC does not reoccur, system is okay. If DTC reoccurs, replace MIU ECU. See ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
