Air Bag Warning Light
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Main Instrument Unit (MIU) 20-pin connector at rear of instrument cluster. See Fig 2
. Connect test light between battery positive voltage and 20-pin connector terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). Turn ignition on. If air bag light in instrument cluster comes on for 3 seconds, then goes out for .5 seconds, repair open circuit in Blue wire between 20-pin connector terminal No. 1 and Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) module connector terminal No. 6. SRS module is located in rear of center console. See Fig 3
. If air bag light in instrument cluster does not come on, replace bulb. After repair, go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Perform a functional test of SRS warning light. If warning light functions, system is okay. If warning light does not function, replace MIU ECU. See ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU)
