High Beam Indicator Light

  1. Disconnect Main Instrument Unit (MIU) 20-pin connector at rear of instrument cluster. See Figure . Connect test light between 20-pin connector terminal No. 15 (Gray wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. Turn high beams on. If test light comes on, replace bulb. After repair, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Gray wire between 20-pin MIU connector terminal No. 15 and fuse No. 8 in engine compartment fuse box. After repair, go to next step.
  2. Clear DTCs. Perform a functional test of high beam light. If high beam light functions, system is okay. If high beam light does not function, replace MIU ECU. See ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
