Fuel Gauge

  1. If gauge is inaccurate at a certain level, go to next step. If gauge is inaccurate across entire scale, drain fuel tank. Connect Tech 1 scan tool. Scan tool value should be zero gallons. Turn ignition off. Add 2.1 gallons (10 Liters) of fuel to tank. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read TANK CONTENTS. Adjust TANK OFFSET to correct value. Activate fuel gauge and ensure gauge reading is correct at all gauge segments. After repair, go to next step.
  2. Activate fuel gauge and ensure gauge reading is correct at all segment break points. Adjust break points as necessary. See FUEL GAUGE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
