Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

  1. Ensure "0" mark on flywheel aligns with timing mark on flywheel cover. Install intake camshaft with bearing caps No. 1 through 5, and exhaust camshaft with bearing caps No. 6 through 10.
  2. Tighten bearing cap bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Rotate camshafts until they are aligned with their respective timing marks. See Fig 1. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
