To Change the Selector Rod Seal

(Can be carried out either with the gearbox in the car or with the gearbox removed.)

TO REMOVE
1. Tap out the front taper pin from the selector rod universal joint and separate the universal joint from the selector rod.
2. Thread tool 87 90677 over the collar of the seal and screw in the screw towards the rod.





3. Use a screwdriver between the tool and one of the bolt heads for the final drive cover to prise off the seal.

TO FIT





1. Use tool 87 90 685 and a suitable hammer to fit the new seal.
2. Assemble the selector rod universal joint with the selector rod and fit the taper pin.
