Warm Up Regulator: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect terminals from warm-up regulator and connect a voltmeter across terminal blades.
2. Remove the fuel pump relay and connect a jumper wire between relay holder terminals 30 and 87 to provide current for CIS and note the voltage reading. The lowest permissible voltage is 11.5 volts.
3. Check for a break in the continuity of the warm up regulator coil by measuring the resistance of the coil with an ohmmeter. Replace the warm up regulator if an open circuit is found.
