Horn Control & Steering Wheel: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove bottom cover retaining screws and cover. On standard steering wheel, remove retaining screws from behind steering wheel. Remove pad and horn contact.
  2. On 3-spoke wheel, lift pad from spokes. Reach under and disconnect horn leads while supporting pad.
  3. On all models, mark position of steering wheel to shaft. Remove retaining nut and washer. Remove wheel from shaft with wheel puller.
