Oil Level Sensor

The oil level sensor uses a variable-resistance probe that changes resistance when it is in a liquid. When the ignition is on and there is no oil pressure, sensor and control box compute oil level and display it on a gauge.

As soon as oil light goes off, the sensor turns off. Sensor can be removed from side of crankcase. Control box is behind instrument cluster.
