Horn Pad & Steering Wheel: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove horn pad. Remove steering column protective housings. Remove steering wheel nut. Install Puller Plate (Dir. 372) behind steering wheel.
  2. Using center punch, make a mark in center of steering column shaft. Connect Puller (Mot. 49) to puller plate.
  3. Using wrench, turn puller shaft until steering wheel is pulled from steering shaft.
