Oil Level Sensor

The oil level sensor uses a probe whose resistance changes when it is in a liquid. When the ignition is on and there is no oil pressure, the sensor and a control box compute the oil level and display it on a gauge. As soon as the oil light goes off, the sensor turns off. The sensor can be removed from the side of the crankcase. The control box is behind the instrument cluster.
