Removing Outer Side Member

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cuts A, B and C  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

Do not damage the plate underneath.

1. Mark and make cuts -A and B-  .

   A	> Distance 160 mm
   B	> Distance 160 mm

2. Mark and make cut -C-  .

3. Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

4. Bend up edge of wheel arch > Bending up edges in rear wheel housing  .
   1. 4.1 Heat bonding area using a hot-air gun > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 4.2 Bend up wheel arch edge using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .

5. Bend up edges -2-  in front door aperture.
   1. 5.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 5.2 Bend up edges -2-  in the front door aperture using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .

6. Bend up edges -3-  in rear door aperture.
   1. 6.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 6.2 Bend up edges -3-  in the rear door aperture using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .
