Removing Supply Line - Underbody Section

WARNING: Highly inflammable or explosive materials

Danger of fire or explosion
1. → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
2. → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
3. → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
4. → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
5. → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

Danger of burns to the eyes and skin
1. → Ventilate the work area well.
2. → Never ingest or inhale.
3. → Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
4. → Wear personal protective gear.
5. → Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.

Disconnect underbody section -1- from engine compartment section -2- .

Underbody section to engine compartment section
1. 1.1 Release and disconnect quick connector -3- on engine compartment section -2- .
2. 1.2 Soak up escaping fuel using suitable aids and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
3. 1.3 Unscrew screw on line bracket -4- and open line bracket -5- .
4. 1.4 Disengage underbody section -1- from line bracket -5- .
Disconnect underbody section -1- from fuel tank section -2- .

Underbody section on fuel tank section
1. 2.1 Release and disconnect quick connector -3- on fuel tank section -2- .
2. 2.2 Soak up escaping fuel using suitable aids and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
3. 2.3 Open line bracket -4- and disengage underbody section -1- from line bracket -4- .
Disconnect supply line -1- in the wheel housing.

Supply line in front wheel housing
1. 3.1 Unscrew screws -2- and remove protective plate -3- .
2. 3.2 Open line bracket -4- and disengage supply line -1- from line bracket -4- .
Loosen supply line -1- from line guide -3- .

Line guide
1. 4.1 Unclip clips on line guide -2- .
2. 4.2 Open line guide -3- .
3. 4.3 Open line bracket -4- .
4. 4.4 Disengage supply line -1- from line bracket -4- and line guide -3- .
Carefully guide underbody section of the supply line out of the front wheel housing and remove it. Make sure not to kink the supply line while doing this.
