Removing Supply Line - Section At High Pressure Pump

Danger of fire or explosion
1. → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
2. → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
3. → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
4. → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
5. → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

1. → Ventilate the work area well.
2. → Never ingest or inhale.
3. → Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
4. → Wear personal protective gear.
5. → Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.

Loosen fuel line -1- from bracket -2- .

Fuel line on holder
1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -3- .
Remove high-pressure pump section -1- of the supply line.

Supply line on high-pressure pump
1. 2.1 Disconnect high-pressure pump section -1- from engine compartment section -2- .
  1. 2.1.1 Loosen spring band clamp -3- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamps pliers .
  2. 2.1.2 Pull engine compartment section -2- off the high-pressure pump section -1- .
  3. 2.1.3 Soak up escaping fuel using suitable aids and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
2. 2.2 Disconnect supply line -1- at the high-pressure pump.
  1. 2.2.1 Unscrew union nut -4- and counter at the hexagon -5- of the high-pressure pump at the same time.
  2. 2.2.2 Soak up escaping fuel using suitable aids.
  3. 2.2.3 Unscrew screw on line bracket -6- and open line bracket -7- .
3. 2.3 Release and disconnect cable plug -8- .
4. 2.4 Unscrew nuts -9- and guide out supply line -1- .
5. 2.5 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
