Installing Pressure Accumulator

Information 

Check the following before installing the air line:

• Check that the cutting ring -1-  and Voss threaded joint -2-  are on the air line -3-  (not relevant if the component was replaced and the Voss threaded joint that is pre-fitted on the component is used).
• Check that the air line is fitted correctly.

Check: Air line connection

Only one marking -1-  on the air line should be visible.

Pull the air line briefly against the insertion direction. If it cannot be pulled out, the air line is fitted correctly.

Check: Air line fitted correctly

1. Install pressure accumulator -1-  .
   1. 1.1 Insert pressure accumulator -1-  in direction of -arrow-  .
   2. 1.2 Fit nuts -6-  .
   3. 1.3 Tighten nuts -5-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   4. 1.4 Tighten nuts -6-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   5. 1.5 Clip line -3-  into clips -4-  .
   6. 1.6 Fit and tighten line connection -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.6 ftlb.)

   Pressure accumulator

2. Connect air line for compressor -1-  to pressure accumulator -2-  .
   1. 2.1 Push on air line for compressor -1-  and secure spring band clamp -3-  using > VAS 6890 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  .
   2. 2.2 Clip in clip -4-  .
