Preliminary Work

  1. Raise the vehicle.

    > 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE .

    Observe specifications for vehicles with air suspension! 

  2. Release air from the levelling system.

    > 430117 DRAINING AND FILLING THE LEVELLING SYSTEM  - information on "Draining".

  3. Remove cowl panel cover.

    > 508719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COWL PANEL COVER - information on "Removing".

  4. Remove wheel bearing housing.

    > 405019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL BEARING HOUSING - information on "Removing".

  5. Remove front-axle support (rear section).

    > 400819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT AXLE SUPPORT (REAR SECTION) - information on "Removing".
