Removing Compressor
CAUTION:
Escaping residual air
- Risk of eye injuries
→ Wear protective goggles.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1 and 2-
from valve unit -3-
and compressor -4-
.

Information
- Before removing air spring system components (compressor, valve unit), always disconnect the air lines on the front air-spring strut first before detaching the lines at the components .
- Only loosen the Voss threaded joint!
- Loosen -3-
and pull off air lines -1-
at the front air-spring strut.

Information
The cutting ring -1- and Voss threaded joint -2- must remain on the air line -3- .

- Disconnect air lines -2 and 3-
from valve unit -1-
.
- 3.1 Unscrew Voss threaded joints -4 and 5- and pull off air lines -2 and 3- .

- Disconnect suction line -2-
from compressor -1-
.
- 4.1 Loosen spring band clamp -3- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers and pull off suction line -2- .

Information
You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.
- Remove compressor -1-
with holder -2-
.
- 5.1 Unscrew nuts -3- .
- 5.2 Guide out compressor -1- with holder -2- until the electric plug connections -4- on the control unit -5- are accessible.
- 5.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -4- .
- 5.4 Remove compressor -1- with holder -2- .
