Subsequent Work

  1. Lower the vehicle.

    > 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE

  2. Only if air is filled into one air spring: 

    Activate height control.

    1. 2.1 Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and switch on the PIWIS Tester  .
    2. 2.2 Establish operational readiness/switch on ignition.
    3. 2.3 Start diagnostics.
    4. 2.4 Select "Chassis control"  control unit.
    5. 2.5 Select the "Maintenance/repairs"  tab.
    6. 2.6 Select the menu item "Replacement work on the air spring system"  and press F12 to continue.
    7. 2.7 Select the "Replacement of an air spring"  function and press F12 to continue.
    8. 2.8 Select the "Activation of height control"  function and press F12 to continue.
    9. 2.9 Follow the instructions on the Tester.
  3. Only if air is filled into the air suspension system:  Activate height control.
    1. 3.1 Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and switch on the PIWIS Tester  .
    2. 3.2 Establish operational readiness/switch on ignition.
    3. 3.3 Start diagnostics.
    4. 3.4 Select "Chassis control"  control unit.
    5. 3.5 Select the "Maintenance/repairs"  tab.
    6. 3.6 Select the menu item "Replacement work on the air spring system"  and press F12 to continue.
    7. 3.7 Select the "Bleeding and filling the entire air spring system"  function and press F12 to continue.
    8. 3.8 Select the "Activation of height control"  function and press F12 to continue.
    9. 3.9 Follow the instructions on the Tester.
  4. Disconnect battery charger from the vehicle.

    > Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
