Removing Expansion Valve 2

NOTE: NOTIFICATION 
Opened refrigerant system for repairs. 
  • Risk of moisture getting into the refrigerant system. 
  • Risk of contaminating the refrigerant circuit. 
  • Risk of saturation and irreparable damage to desiccator. 
  • Irreparable damage to the desiccator can damage the compressor and evaporator. 

    → After opening the refrigerant circuit, close off the refrigerant lines/connections immediately using the relevant stoppers. To avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit, the stoppers for the different refrigerants must be stored and used separately.

    → The desiccator must be replaced if the air humidity is high and if the refrigerant circuit is left open for a long time.

  1. Detach -1-  bulkhead.
    1. 1.1  Screw off nut -2-  .
    2. 1.2  Unscrew screw -3-  .
    3. 1.3  Remove -1-  bulkhead.

  2. Disconnect electric wire harness -1-  .
    1. 2.1  Release and disconnect electric plug connections -2-  .
    2. 2.2  Release clip -3-  and set electric wire harness -1-  aside.

  3. Remove expansion valve 2 -1-  .
    1. 3.1  Unscrew screw -2-  .
    2. 3.2  Pull out refrigerant line -3-  .
    3. 3.3  Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
    4. 3.4  Unscrew screw -4-  .
    5. 3.5  Unscrew screws on holder for expansion valve 2 -5-  .
    6. 3.6  Detach expansion valve 2 -1-  from refrigerant line -6-  and remove.
    7. 3.7  Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
