Removing Directional-Control Valve

NOTE: Danger of scalding

Coolant can be very hot.
Coolant may be pressurised.
→ Only remove the heater when the cooling system has cooled down.

→ By carefully opening the catch on the reservoir, make sure that the cooling system is depressurised.

NOTE: Danger of slipping due to emerging coolant

The emerging coolant will make the floor of the workshop slippery and may cause people to slip and fall over.
→ Collect emerging coolant in a suitable pan.

Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.

Remove coolant hoses -2- .

2.1 Loosen spring band clamps -1- using > VAS 6930 - spring band clamp pliers and pull them off the adapter on the directional-control valve.
2.2 Disconnect coolant hoses -2- and close them off using stoppers.

2.3 Set coolant hoses -2- aside.

Remove directional-control valve -3- .
1. 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
2. 3.2 Screw off nuts -2- and remove directional-control valve -3- .
