Installing Charging Socket

    → Only appropriately trained and authorized persons may work on high-voltage vehicles and components

    → Required qualification, high voltage technician or high voltage expert.

    → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.

    → Always use insulated tools, such as an > VAS 6883 - insulated tool set  when working on these parts.

    → Observe general warning notices for working on the high-voltage system.

Information 

Check that the high-voltage connectors are engaged fully by carrying out a visual inspection and by pulling gently on the high-voltage connectors.

Make sure that the water drain is not kinked.

  1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

    Screw in and tighten fastening screw securing ground line to body > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

    Screw in and tighten fastening screws securing charging socket to body > Tightening torque 5.6 Nm (4 ftlb.) + 0.6 Nm (0.3 ftlb.) - 0.8 Nm (0.4 ftlb.)
