Removing Hv Battery Control Unit

    → Only appropriately trained and authorized persons may work on high-voltage vehicle, and components.

    → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.

    → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.

    → Always use insulated tools, such as an > VAS 6883 - insulated tool set  when working on these parts.

    → Observe general warning notices for working on the high-voltage system.

NOTE: Voltage peaks 
  • Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 

    → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).

    → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

  1. Loosen HV battery control unit holder -1-  .

    HV battery control unit holder

    1. 1.1 Screw off fastening nuts -2-  .
    2. 1.2 Unscrew fastening screw -3-  .
    3. 1.3 Release and pull off electric plug connection.
    4. 1.4 Remove HV battery control unit holder -1-  with HV battery control unit from the vehicle.
  2. Remove HV battery control unit -1-  .

    HV battery control unit

    1. 2.1 Unscrew fastening screws -3-  and fastening nut -4-  .
    2. 2.2 Remove HV battery control unit -1-  from HV battery control unit holder.
