Removing Final Drive

- Remove protective plates for drive shaft -1-
on both sides of the vehicle.
Mounting for protective plate for left drive shaft
- 1.1 Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
- Only for vehicles with rear-differential lock:
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-
on servo motor for rear-differential lock -1-

Remove support -1-

- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
- Remove final drive -1-

Information
Always use an intermediate layer (e.g. hard rubber) when using the jack!
- 4.1 Support the final drive using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack

- Unthread screws -2- until the final drive can be lowered.
- The bolts -2- can be used several times as part of this repair work.
- 4.2 Unscrew fastening screws -2- .

- 4.4 Guide out final drive.
- 4.1 Support the final drive using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack
