Installing Crankshaft Vibration Damper (V6 Turbo)

Information

Replace screws for vibration damper.
Do not lubricate the screw thread and crankshaft flange thread.
Clean the thread on the crankshaft flange to remove grease.

Fit crankshaft vibration damper -1- . Be careful of the dowel sleeve -2- .

Crankshaft vibration damper
1. 1.1 Screw in new screw by hand.
Fit counterhold tool T40330/1 .

Counterhold tool T40330 on vibration balancer
1. 2.1 Turn the crankshaft so that counterhold tool T40330/1 can be fitted.
2. 2.2 Fit adapter T40330/4 -2- to the crankshaft vibration damper using counterhold tool T40330/1 -4- .
3. 2.3 Fit spacer sleeve T40330/3 -3- underneath, then fit and tighten screw -Arrow- .
  > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
4. 2.4 Tighten screw -1- > Initial tightening 150 Nm (111 ftlb.) + > Final tightening 90°
Remove counterhold tool T40330/1 .
