Installing Flywheel

NOTE: Dirt and contamination 
  • Risk of damage to units or components 

    → Protect components from dirt and contamination.

    → Clean or replace dirty components.

  1. Position hall-sender rotor -1-  and check position of centring pin -arrow-  .

  2. Fit the flywheel and check position of centring pin.
    1. 2.1 Secure the flywheel with a new screw.
  3. Position special tool > 10-201 - holder-1-  with two washers -2-  as shown on the flywheel -3-  (-arrow-  ).

  4. Fit new screws evenly.

    Threaded joint for flywheel

  5. Tighten screws on the flywheel crosswise using tool > VAS 6942 - Torque/torque angle wrench, 20-400 Nm (15-296 ftlb.)  .

    > pre-tightening 60 Nm (44.3 ftlb.) 

    > final-tightening + 90°
