Installing Cylinder Head - Right Cylinder Bank

- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 The cylinder-head gasket must be replaced following removal.
- 1.2 The cylinder-head screws must be replaced following removal.
- 1.3 All sealing faces must be clean and free of grease.
- 1.4 Screw in cylinder-head screws as far as they will go by hand and tighten according to the specified tightening sequence.
- 1.4.1 Tighten screws on the cylinder head -1 to 8- to > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) .
- 1.4.2 Tighten screws on the cylinder head -1 to 8- to > Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) .
- 1.4.3 Tighten screws on the cylinder head -1 to 8- to > Torque angle + 90° .
- 1.4.4 Tighten screws on the cylinder head -1 to 8- to > Final tightening + 90° .
- 1.4.5 Tighten screw on the cylinder head -9- to > Initial tightening 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .
- 1.4.6 Tighten screw on the cylinder head -10- to > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) .
- 1.4.7 Tighten screw on the cylinder head -9- to > Torque angle + 90° .
- 1.4.8 Tighten screw on the cylinder head -10- to > Torque angle + 90° .
- 1.5 Tighten screws securing coolant line holder to additional coolant pump to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) .
- 1.6 Tighten screw securing coolant flange to additional coolant pump to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) .
- 1.7 Tighten screw for side coolant pipe to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.) .
- 1.8 Tighten screw for front coolant pipe to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.) .
