Checking Engine-Oil Level Using Oil Dipstick

In general, check engine oil level in the oil level gauge in the instrument cluster. If no oil level display is available, check with > T40178B - oil level gauge tester .
Information
Prerequisites for checking the engine oil level:
- Vehicle is level
- Engine at operating temperature
- Start the engine and leave it running at idle speed for one minute, then stop it
- Check the engine oil level when the engine has been stopped for two minutes
Procedure for the Panamera S Diesel (4.0-litre V8 Diesel):
Using the special tools for V8 Diesel

must be adjusted. Read the relevant values from the table.
Oil gauge tester

according to the value in the table.
The adjustment value is read off on the lower end of the adjusting ring -4- !

- 3.1 Remove stopper from guide for oil dipstick using > 3438 - hook .
- 3.2 > T40178B - Oil gauge tester must be pushed as far as it will go (setting ring) into the oil dipstick guide, then pull it out again.
- 3.3 Read off the engine-oil level on the oil level scale.
