Removal Of Brake CALLIPER

NOTE: Removal of brake caliper
  • Paint defects on brake calliper

    → Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.

    → Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.

Information 

  1. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-  .

  2. Unscrew screws -4-  and loosen brake line holder -5-  from the wheel bearing housing.

  3. Press the brake pedal and clamp it using a pedal support.
  4. Loosen union nut -1-  and remove brake line -2-  from the brake calliper. Collect brake fluid in a suitable container.

    Information 

    Use >T10439 - assembly pins  >Assembly pin for brake calliper Assembly pin for brake caliper  to make it easier to remove/install the brake calliper.

    Information 

    • Do not use an impact bolter. 
  5. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove front brake calliper -2-  from the wheel bearing housing.
