- Install anti-roll bar mount.

- Tighten screw joint -1 and 2-
for secondary bearing on power-steering gear.
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) > Final tightening rotation angle + 180°

- After screwing on the -3-
secondary bearing, tighten screws -2-
for the main bearings for the power-steering gear -1-

NOTE: Voltage drop- Irreparable damage to control unit
- Damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Control unit programming/coding is aborted
- Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming/coding
→ Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
→ Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
→ Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A to the vehicle battery.
- Activate power-steering gear.
- 4.1 PIWIS Tester must be connected to the vehicle before starting the Tester. Switch on the ignition.
- 4.2 Using the PIWIS Tester, select Power steering > Maintenance/repairs > Commissioning.
- 4.3 Follow the further instructions on the Tester.
- Check the front toe and make adjustments if necessary.
