Preliminary Work

WARNING: Hot fluid 
  • Danger of scalding 

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  1. Drain coolant.

    > Draining and filling coolant 

  2. Remove rear part of front wheel housing liner.

    > WM, 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER

  3. Only for Panamera 4S: 

    Remove heat shield for turbocharger.

    > Removing and installing heat shield for turbocharger 

  4. Only for Panamera 4S Diesel: 

    Remove engine cover (design cover).

    > WM, 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V6 TURBO)

  5. Unscrew clamping washers -1-  and remove heat shield for plenum panel -2-  .

  1. Remove the engine.

    > 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE- section on "Removing" 

  2. Remove rear seal on front lid.

    > 553319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT LID SEAL

  3. Unscrew clamping washers -1-  and remove heat shield for plenum panel -2-  .
