Checking Front Disc Brake Pads

Installation of brake pads with the wrong brake pad quality
- Longer braking distance
- More wear on brake pads
→ Only use the type-specific brake pads listed in the Porsche Parts Information.
→ Replace brake pads on both sides of axle when the brake pad wear indicator light comes on.
Information
- If brake pad wear is indicated by the warning light, replace warning contact (sensor with line and plug connection).
- Replace warning contacts if the core of the wire is worn.
- If only the plastic part of the warning contact is worn, there is no need to replace it.

- Check outside of brake pads for wear through the cut-outs in the rim.
- Check inside of brake pads for wear from below.
- Check outside of brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary.
- Check inside of brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary.
