Removing Control Unit For Front-End Electronics

NOTE:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit
→ Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
→ Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.
Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work.
- Do not remove new part from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation and only at the installation position.
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts.
- Release electric plug connections -2-
and disconnect them from the front-end electronics control unit -1-
.
Disconnecting electric plug connections
- Remove front-end electronics control unit -1-
with holder -3-
by pulling it to the rear and out of the A-pillar.

- Unclip front-end electronics control unit -1- from the holder -3- and remove it.
