Packaging And Transport

Non-critical batteries Critical batteries
  • Packaging type: Original spare parts packaging.
  • Packaging instruction: see Workshop Manual.
  • Marking: Check existing marking on the packaging and replace any missing markings (see Packaging instructions).
  • Transport documents: Transport goods receipt/issue slip for hazardous goods (ADR states). Comply with local legislation and consult the importer.
  • Shipping method: Hazardous goods class 9, packaging group II.
  • Transport routes: Road, sea.
  • Responsibilities:

Classification: HVT or HVE
Packaging: HVT or HVE
Shipping documents: Spare Parts Manager
  • Packaging type: Special packaging.
  • Packaging instruction: see Workshop Manual.
  • Marking: Check existing marking on the packaging and replace any missing markings (see Packaging instructions).
  • Transport documents: Transport goods receipt/issue slip for hazardous goods (ADR states), BAM authorisation certificate (ADR states), declare as faulty battery. Comply with local legislation and consult the importer.
  • Shipping method: Hazardous goods class 9, packaging group I.
  • Transport routes: Road transport only.
  • Responsibilities:

Classification: HVT or HVE
Packaging: HVE
Shipping documents: Spare Parts Manager

Recommendations: 

Observe completion instructions and templates.

If necessary, obtain official permission with the help of the importer and observe any export restrictions.
