Preliminary Work

  1. Remove the engine.

    > 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE

  2. Secure engine to assembly support.

    > WM, 100113 SECURING ENGINE ON ASSEMBLY SUPPORT (V8 BITURBO)

  3. Remove the relevant cylinder head cover.

    The camshafts are integrated in the cylinder head covers. See Workservice information! 

    > WM, 158219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CYLINDER HEAD COVER 

  4. > T40331 - Camshaft clamp-1-  can now be removed.
