Removing Camshafts

  • Risk of damage to units or components 

    → Protect components from dirt and contamination.

    → Clean or replace dirty components.

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

Information 

  1. Remove intake camshaft -1-  and outlet camshaft -2-  .
    1. 1.1 Loosen and unscrew screws -3-  slowly and uniformly, one after the other from the outside in.
    2. 1.2 Remove bearing covers -4-  .
      1. 1.2.1 Place bearing covers -4-  on a marked, clean surface.
      2. 1.2.2 Remove axial bearing washers.
    3. 1.3 Remove camshaft -1 and 2-  and place on a marked, clean surface.
