Removing Main Wire Harness Section At The Rear Left
NOTE:
Voltage peaks
- Risk off damage to electrical load or to the control unit
→ Switch oft ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
→ Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.
Information
When cutting the wire harness, make sure there is enough length of cable left to join to the new lines
- Loosen main wire harness section at the rear left -1-

Main wire harness section at the rear left
- 1.1 Unclip cable duct -2- (-arrow- ).
- 1.2 Unscrew and remove screws -3- .
- 1.3 Unclip clip -4- .
- 1.4 Unscrew nuts on ground points at left C-pillar -5- .
- Cut main wire harness section at the rear left -1-
in area -x-

Cut
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections on DME control unit.
> Refer to the appropriate service information.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections for tailgate control unit.
- Release inn disconnect electric plug connection for acoustic simulator control unit.
> Refer to the appropriate service information.
- Remove control unit for chassis control.

- Release and disconnect electric plug connections on subwoofer.
- Guide rear left grommets -1-

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on airbag sensor at lock carrier.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for rear KESSY/PAS antenna.
- Unclip connection point holder for lock carrier -1-
