Removing Rear Brake CALLIPER
WARNING:
Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid!
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
→ Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles
→ In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
→ In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off

- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
Information
- The cores of the warning contact lines must not be exposed! Worn insulation causes malfunctions and must be replaced.
- If the brake discs have a burr on the outside, the brake pads must be reset slightly using a suitable tool.
- A little brake fluid may have to be extracted from the reservoir to prevent it from overflowing when the disc brake pads are pressed back.
- Do not use an impact bolter.
- Loosen electric line -1-
from holder -2-

- 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -3- .
- 1.2 Unclip electric line for brake pad wear indicator -1- from holder -2- and set it aside.

- Unclip rear brake line -1-

- Disconnect brake line -1-
from rear brake calliper -2-
.
- 3.1 Unscrew union nut on rear brake line -3- .
- 3.2 Pull brake line -1- out of rear brake calliper -2- .
- 3.3 Catch escaping brake fluid using suitable aids and close off connections using suitable stoppers.

- For vehicles without PCCB:
Remove rear brake calliper -1- .
- 4.1 Unscrew screws -2- .
- 4.2 Remove rear brake calliper -1- .

- For vehicles with PCCB:
Remove rear brake calliper -1- with adapter for rear brake calliper -2- .
- 5.1 Unscrew screws -3- .
- 5.2 Remove rear brake calliper -1- with adapter for rear brake calliper -2- .
