Preparing Roof Aperture For Installation

Information 

• The surface coating of adhesive residue helps new adhesive to stick. Keep cut surfaces clean and free of grease and do not clean with cleaning solution. 

1. Pull out -Arrows-  remaining pieces of roof assembly seal -1-  under windscreen -2-  .

2. Fold up -Arrows-  windscreen seal -1-  and secure to windscreen with adhesive tape -2-  .

3. Fold up -Arrows-  rear window seal -1-  and secure to rear window with adhesive tape -2-  .

4. Remove adhesive residue > Adhesive residue  on body using > VAS 861 005 - scraper set  until a surface coating of adhesive residue remains.

   Information 

   • A drying time of at least 10 minutes must be observed between cleaning the bonding surface and applying primer! Always ensure that no cleaning solution residues remain on the body. 
5. Clean damage to top-coat paint > Risk of damage to paintwork  on body with cleaning solution and apply primer.
