Installing Front Panoramic Roof Glass Panel

CAUTION: Danger of material damage if specified curing time of adhesive is not observed! In order to ensure that the bonded joint is sufficiently strong, the following conditions must be adhered to:

The vehicle must not be used until the curing time has elapsed.
Curing time: 2 hours
Temperature: at least 10°C
Fixing time: approx. 1 hour

Replace damaged or missing stop bits.

Applying 2-component window adhesive

2-component window adhesive has an open time of -10 min- , i.e. apply 2-component window adhesive and join the component within this time.
To ensure that the substance is completely mixed, apply a 30 mm long bead of fresh 2-component window adhesive to a piece of cardboard before using it.

Prepare 2-component adhesive for processing.

Information
- When applying 2-component window adhesive, make sure that the adhesive bead overlaps by approx. 30 mm at the beginning and at the end.
Apply 2-component window adhesive -1- along the preliminary coat or on the primer on the front panoramic roof glass panel -2- as a triangular bead measuring approx. 15 mm using a bonding gun.

Applying 2-component window adhesive
Insert front panoramic roof glass panel -1- into the body.
1. 3.1 Affix suction cups to the front panoramic roof glass panel -1- .
2. 3.2 Insert front panoramic roof glass panel -1- into the roof cut-out on the front panoramic roof.
3. 3.3 Press front panoramic roof glass panel -1- evenly onto the body.

Inserting panoramic roof glass panel
Set gap dimensions of front panoramic roof glass panel with respect to the windscreen and sliding roof by moving it.

Secure the front panoramic roof glass panel -1- to the body and windscreen with adhesive tape.

Inserting panoramic roof glass panel
Remove any adhesive that has oozed out immediately and clean the affected visible areas using cleaning solution -H1- .
